SUMMARY:
Teach electronics/robotics to high school students. Provide students with skills and practical hands on experiences in the electronics field to provide marketable job skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Provides career and technical education (CTE) program instruction, program management and curriculum development.
Maintains a current advisory committee involved in business and industry.
Is actively involved with Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center school committees.
Demonstrates leadership involvement with student clubs.
Provides leadership role in the development of professional and post-secondary partnerships.
Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of the student.
Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student needs including students with special needs.
Work collaboratively with Career Center programs to support authentic work-based learning experiences.
Implements credentials for student achievement.
Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the locations provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports.
Maintains accurate, complete, correct records, and program documentation as required bylaw and district policy.
Makes provisions for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.
Be present in buildings with regular and continued attendance and punctuality.
Follow all Board Policies, Staff Handbook and Administrative Guidelines.
