Project must relate to auto body and fit in a 2’ x 2’ space. Must include a portfolio of students’ auto body work that documents each step of the process.

• Must be welded and ground, with no body filler of any kind.

• Metal cannot have paint or primer on it (clear coat is allowed to avoid corrosion). This allows for judges to view the welded repair.

• If an auto body part is not used, the student can fabricate a cube, triangle or any object with at least 4 sides made from 16-20-gauge sheet metal.

Judging is based on overall appearance, complexity of fabrication, and portfolio.
